You should receive several interviews from your Texas schools. You can apply to any OOS schools on your list but you should be aware that 1,400 Texas applicants matriculate at Texas MD schools and only 215 to OOS MD schools. Most schools are aware of this and are less likely to interview Texas applicants since they assume they will attend a Texas school. Exceptions would be those who attended undergraduate school in a state, URM, legacies, veterans. The newer schools such as Seton Hall, NOVA MD, Quinnipiac, Oakland Beaumont and Western Michigan may be worth applying to as well as Tulane.
