Hi
I was wondering about the stress level in veterinary school as compared to medical school. I am currently in medical school and my brother is currently applying to vet school for entry next year. In medical school I have seen the effects that stress, info overload, lack of social time, has on the mind and body. I have also seen so many students who entered med school completely passionate about medicine but now are struggling with depression and doubt as if they want to continue medicine. I was wondering if vet school is the same in this regard. Can anyone shed some light on the stress, rigors of vet school and the prevalence of depression and burnout amongst students. Thanks.
