There was an interesting message from NASS Prez in recent SpineLine magazine. He stressed about the significance of History taking and forgotten skills of physical exam in 21st century technologicaly advanced modern medicine.
He also mentioned abt his non-published study "Did you take your clothes off study?" He wanted to determine how many physicians disrobed their patients during consultation, how many touched their patients to assess the back? His study showed a disturbing minority did none at all. Very good message from Dr. Press. There is nothing more important than complete history taking and thorough physical exam.
Did you take your patient's clothes off today?
