[Specialties] Letter grade vs P/NP with honors

I am planning to specialize after graduating from dental school. However, which grading system is better for students interested in specialties, letter grade system or P/NP with honors?

in some schools they dont even have highpass system.. and if the board becomes p/NP as well whats gonna be the determining factor???

from what i've heard there will be other tests that you will have to take and they will use those scores. either something like the GRE or even another "DAT" type of exam
