Will dental schools look down if I do a pass/no pass grading for one of the upper division biochem class? It's not a pre-requisite for dental school, I'm just taking it because it's my major requirement (biochem). I know that dental schools would definitely look down on P/NP grades taken for prerequisite courses(like bio, chem, etc), but would this still affect my application if I do P/NP for an upper division science course that's not a prerequisite? I currently have 3.89 gpa, and I don't want any gpa drop because I have set myself a goal of achieving 3.9+ gpa before I graduate(it's just my own personal goal). I'm currently a senior, and this will be my last quarter before I graduate. Also, this will be my first time doing P/NP grading. Any advice please?

My dream schools are UCLA, UCSF and UofM,
