When I was a student I wrote all the Irish medical schools trying to transfer from mine to any of the others, but none of them would even accept an application for transfer. Not possible in my experience.

Thanks for the replies. I actually contacted RCSI and Trinity in Dublin. RCSI hasn't responded, BUT Trinity actually say they accept transfers! It may mean losing a semester, but I'd say it's worth it. Haven't spoken to the faculty here at NUIG yet (I'm an exchange student here from Sweden), but let's see.

Maybe Trinity and other schools (assuming there are more of them) are changing their policies...? I didn't expect Trinity to say they accept transfers at all...
