I graduated from college almost 2 years ago but I've been doing a DIY post-bacc among working and other things. I'm currently taking 3 courses this semester but in 8-week sessions. Anatomy & Physiology 1 (4 credits) just finished a few days ago and I got an A (4.0). Now I have Anatomy & Physiology 2 (4 credits) and Organic Chemistry 2 (4 credits). In undergrad, I got a C in General Chemistry 1 lecture (3 credits) and a B+ in the lab (1 credit). In General Chemistry 2 I got a C+ (4 credits). So because of those low grades, I'd like to re-take them as a refresher and to boost my sGPA and cGPA. I'd like to take Genetics (4 credits) and Microbiology (4 credits) as well. Assuming I get A's in A&P 2 and Orgo 2, my overall GPA will be 3.618 (152.5 credits total) and my science GPA will be 3.543 (68.5 credits). If I re-take both Gen Chem's and add Genetics + Microbiology and assuming I get A's in all 4 classes (16 credits), my overall GPA will be 3.655 (168.5 credits total) and my BCPM will be 3.629 (84.5 credits). My GPA without BCPM is 3.679.

I'm AA, from NYC, with parents from West Africa. In the future, I plan on applying to MD/DO schools in NY but I'm interested in attending a school in California, Texas, Georgia, or Florida.

My completed BCPM grades are as follows:

General Biology 1: D+ (4 credits)
General Biology 1 for Non-Science Majors: A (4 credits)
General Biology 2 for Non-Science Majors: A (4 credits)
General Biology 1 for Science Majors: A (4 credits)
General Biology 2 for Science Majors: A (4 credits)
Anatomy & Physiology 1: A (4 credits)
General Chemistry 1 (lecture): C (3 credits)
General Chemistry 1 (lab): B+ (1 credit)
General Chemistry 2: C+ (4 credits)
Organic Chemistry 1: A (4 credits)
College Physics 1: B (4 credits)
College Physics 2: A (4 credits)
Introduction to Algebra: A (3 credits)
Statistics 1: A (3 credits)
Statistics 2: A (3 credits)
Calculus 1: B (3 credits)
Introduction to Biochemistry lecture: A (3 credits)
Biochemistry Lab: A (1.5 credits)

Should be fine with just the chem retakes but taking all four courses could increase your competitiveness at higher ranked schools a bit
