let me weave you a little tale...
CA Res.
3.3 GPA (about a 3.55 last two yrs)
3.2 Science GPA
35 MCAT (9 verbal and M in writing, so technically im illiterate, luckily I killed it in the bio with a 14, booya!)
Pretty good EC's over last two yrs (late interest sorta thing)
-5 yrs as seasonal firefighter
-2 of those as FF EMT
-1 school yr as research assistant (nothing published)
-1 qtr as hospital volunteer
-5 yrs playing D1 rugby (served as secretary, nominated to regional allstar team, now playing on peruvian national team)
-3 mos volunteering w/ ministry of health in Peru
-currently doing research in Peru with an NGO
im expecting to end up at a private OOS (ahhh! massive debt!), but as of right now am planning on shooting apps to all UC's too since their secondaries are screened. Any rec's for other non-CA schools, would love to hear em. Thanks!
oh , and does anyone know anything about SUNY residency issues. I heard its pretty easy to get residency in NY for the SUNY's at least.
