Hello everyone!
I'm a medical student, and I joined a research lab that looks at patient outcomes. One of our current projects is to better understand the motivations and expectations of individuals who want to/have gotten Asian blepharoplasty (double-eyelid surgery). While there has been a rise in developing new outcome measures that use information such as the patient's motivations, expectations, and satisfaction to assess the success of cosmetic procedures, our lab has noticed that some of these new outcome-based "objective measure" tools for eye procedures such as blepharoplasty were largely based on a Caucasian population. We would like to see if these tools would also apply to individuals of Asian descent who also get blepharoplasty.
