I am a surgical first assitant with an ortho clinic and i am concidering Podiatric medicine as my career. I was recently told that podiatrists are performing knee scopes and ACL repairs in some states. Is this true? and if so what residency program and state is this?

Knee reconstruction? In residency during an ortho rotation sure. But not out in practice. In any state. Ever. Fixating a pilon fx isn't uncommon in many states but don't bet on becoming a pod and doing any procedures more proximal than that...

Will podiatrists be performing BKA's in the future?
