School list Help

I need help creating a school list. Here is a little bit about me:
first time applicant for DO, did not get into MD last cycle
Science GPA 3.4 all other GPA 3.55 2015 MCAT 28 (9,7,12) improved from 26
disadvantaged background, English second language
Currently full time ED Tech in a level 2 trauma hospital
1500 hrs experience as a EMT
400+ hrs of clinical volunteer work + research assistant
currently working on obtaining a LOR from a DO...will probably take a few months

I would love to work in emergency medicine!!!I am an outdoorsy type person.

Currently I am creating my list on basis where I can see my self living.

Check on the schools that require a 8 or above for each subsection on the mcat. Idk which ones but I know there were some.
 
Your stats is good. Personally I would add KCU, DMU, PCOM, NSU and remove BCOM and OU-HCOM(if you're not IS). Good luck!

I have very similar stats as yours so you can see how you might fare. overall GPA 3.55 sGPA 3.45 (12,6,9 mcat). I applied to 22 DO schools. Received 9 II. Attended 8 II. I had 3 rejections. Currently on 4 waitlists and one acceptance from Rowan SOM. Where do you live? Here is my school list:

I suggest you add KCU-COM, CUSOM, LECOM-ERIE,ROWAN, and MUCOM. Removed BCOM as suggested above. Don't add PCOM and NYIT. They are regionally biased if you dont live there.

I'm guessing that you are from the east coast. So a geographic preference at Rowan worked in your favor. Based upon what other posters have said, and what I have observed over time, Med school admission is somewhat like a lottery. If applicants do not cast a wide net, they become re-applicants the following year. Good luck at Rowan!
