Hello, I would like to work in the UAE in the future and have some broad questions for anyone practicing there:
1) How does compensation in UAE work? Is it based on procedures or pure experience (the longer you work the more you get) + where you studied (Western MD/BMBS>>>Eastern)?
2) I have seen some salaries of doctors like General Adult Internists, Cardiologists, Orthopedics, ENT, ICU specialists...etc And they all had offerings of similar salaries. Is that true? Does your specialty matter?
3) To get an idea of salaries, what are the expected (average) starting salaries of a doctor who specialized in Europe/North America in specialties like (especially the bolded ones):
a) Internist, b) Cardiologist, c) Pulm/ICU, d) Anesthetist, e) Pathologist, f) Emerg, g) Neurologist, h) Gen. Surgeon
I'd really appreciate the input as I don't know anyone else to ask!
