So I just finished my first semester at a pretty rigorous school especially for pre meds and my grades weren't great. I took two weed out med school requisites this semester: intro to biosci 1 and general chemistry 1 and got a C and a C- respectively. I'd appreciate some advice on what would be better to do next semester for med school applications:

A) Retake gen chem 1 and do better to replace the C- and raise my cumulative and science GPA. I know med schools will still see that I got the C-, but is it worth it to retake so I don't have 2 C's on my record?
or
B) Stick with my grades from this semester and just do well in gen chem 2, orgo, and the rest of my pre med classes to show an upward trend?

Thanks!

I believe many schools don't accept anything lower than a C for prereq courses, so there's no question about retaking Gen Chem
