Hi guys, I'm a junior and I wanted to know how much time you spent in the lab doing research. I emailed a prof for research and she said you should have at least 30 hours devoted to doing lab work for her. I still have time to make a decision to cancel, so I wanted to know if doing 15 credit hours, volunteering, and doing 30 hours in lab is feasible. Here's the actual email:

"In case you have about 30 hours at least to dedicate to the lab, you can schedule an appointment with her and she can talk to you about the possibility of involving you in her projects. But please recognize that research is very demanding and expensive too, so in case you don't have adequate time to spend in the lab it will not be a learning experience for you and also will not be worth our time."
