hey all--

does anyone have a good resource to find out all the meetings that rad-onc residents can submit abstracts/posters to?

If people could respond with the name of the society/organization, when the meeting is, and when abstracts are due, etc, I think it could be really helpful

This may be a good topic to sticky...

Well obviously there is the big ASTRO annual meeting in addition to various ASTRO subspeciality meetings.

Other oncology related meetings are ASCO and AACR.

Radiation-related meetings include RSNA, ABS, and RRS.

Finally there are subsite meetings (like SNO) that you can submit your research to.

For political reasons however, it is generally best for residents to try to present at ASTRO as often as possible. Sadly ASTRO is not really equal in quality to say, ASCO, but if you want to be a Radiation Oncologist (either academics or PP) it's the best place to strut your stuff.

There's also ACRO (American College of Radiation Oncology) and ARS (American Radium Society).

Not that this matters one bit, but the American Radium Society tends to have their meetings at decent places, like Maui (2006), Amsterdam (2007), and Cancun (2010) :)
