Questions from an IMG & newbie

Hi everyone,

I've been reading the board for a while, but this is my first post.

I'm an IMG from England, who (due to marriage) wants to get a residency in the USA. I'm going to take step 2 first because I'm already doing my PRHO year (like an internship). I was wondering if someone could explain some things to me:

1) What is COMPLEX? From the ECMFG it only mentions USMLEs
2) What are allopathic residencies?
3) What are osteopathic internists?

Thanks - I'll probably need lots of help in the future, and if anyone needs any info about working the UK, I'll be happy to help.

1) COMPLEX is the USMLE equivalent for osteopathic med students
2) allopathic = M.D osteopathic = D.O
3) Not sure about this one, but I think its someone who has completed a D.O residency in internal medicine.
