So in titration I am a little confused about how you are able to dermine the equivalence point by use of an indicator.

I know an indicator is a weak Organic Acid or Base that changes color at a point known as the end point.

I guess my question would be how do you know which indicator to use to determine the equivalence point of an Acid-Base Titration. Maybe an overview of titration would help me a little because while I understand the review books I just feel like I am missing something here...

Thanks!

Pick the indicator that has a color change near the pH of the equivalence point of your solution.

Indicators themselves are weak species, and some undergo the characteristic color change at low pH, some at high pH.
