In at least some specialties, it sounds like a good number of programs are requiring students have an area of their personal statement specifying why they want to go to their program specifically (anesthesiology, for example). Has anyone heard about this being needed in diagnostic radiology residency? Do they have much value for programs? There are many programs I am quite interested in, but without interviewing/only having the website and word of mouth to go off of, it would be difficult to articulate with much insight why I specifically want to go to a particular program.
