Professional Liability Insurance in Canada

Hello! I am about to start practising in Canada and was wondering who/what company people recommend for professional liability insurance? I contacted CVMA and they just gave me info for insurance if I was going to work only as a locum, and said if I was in private practice I would just likely be added to my employer's practice policy. Is this usually the norm or do people have individual plans as well? Thanks for any info!

Most private practice employers will cover your liability insurance and you'll be added on to the group plan. I haven't heard of anyone obtaining their own individual plan except for those who are locums or working ER at multiple clinics.
