Not a disadvantage. Schools don't teach strictly to the STEP1 anywhere. I would recommend buying First Aid for STEP 1 before starting school. Keep it alongside you while you study. You'll notice any missing gaps in your schools curriculum. Use that chance to fill in those gaps with outside resources and you'll be fine.
