I have a couple of questions I was hoping ya'll could help me out with -
1) Do podiatrists do any sort of vascular sx? I read about a pod fellowship in another thread that dealt with vascular sx. Possibly to restore circulation to certain areas of the foot? Although I am sure hospitals would prevent a pod from performing vascular surgery.
2) Are pods able to do their own sedation for certain procedures? I know oral surgeons do along with interventional radiologists and diagnostic/interventional cardiologists (where I currently work as a rep)?
In the radiology and cardiology setting the RNs usually offer a cocktail of Versed and a few other narcos.
Thanks for your insight.
