blood glucose level in diabeteus mellitus is decreased by removal of

2.thyroid

Ans is 4. I am unable to decipher the reason. Pl zzz xplain me

Anterior pituitary produces ACTH which stimilates the production of Glucocorticoids from Adrenal cortex. Glucocorticoids inturn improve the sensitivity of the receptors for Glucagon and decrease the same for insulin. In other words, it increases the action of glucose and hence increases the blood glucose level. Now when the anterior pituitary is removed, it inturn decreases blood glucose thru ACTH. This is my understanding. Somebody correct me if I am wrong...
