Personal Statements for PRe-Opt...?

I wanted to know more information on the personal statements when applying for the pre. opt colleges?
I have some info but I wanted to get a wide range of it... or anyone know where I can find it one place or does it totally depend upon the school that I am applying at? Like do they want more than one ? or more? Lenght?
