Hi everyone.

Do any of you know what percent of students drop out due to difficulty?

Considering I start podiatry school soon, I was curious and a little nervous!

I am not sure if there is such a specific data out there. I would like to know as well.

I think we have lost somewhere close to 20 students over the first year. Not sure on the exact number of those that failed out though.

That terrifies me. That is 15% or so. Dunno how many failed out, but even 10% is a scary number.

We had about 20% drop out too, I think that number is more or less the norm. It wasn't all due to bad grades though... if I had to guess I think it would be around 10%. I don't think there's an exact stat out there that tells you. We had some people drop out due to family reasons, they got burnt out, one kid went to a DO school, and some just realized they didn't like podiatry. It sounds scary but it's pretty normal
