peds books for shelf exam?

Just go through those (Pretest and a&l) and you should do just fine. And in the A&L book, I would focus on the end of the book questions (the comprehensive
tests). Don't bother with Blueprints or anything else.

I have a more specific question, what kind of mini-review book or chapter etc would you recommend for mastering the peds stuff on Step 2? I haven't done my peds rotation yet and I'm taking the Deuce early.
 
Other than those two, I went through the peds questions in the NMS Step II book, but didn't find them too helpful. That was all I used and I did well
on the Peds shelf. If you've got extra time, just go through them again. It'll
help you get used to the question style of the shelf exam.
I think if you go to the USMLE web site, it might give you a list of topics on
Step II, but, honestly, I wouldn't worry about it. If you go through the
Pretest and A&L questions, you'll have covered most everything on the test.
