path in the midwest

I'm an MS4 and I'm applying to path residencies this fall and had a couple of questions. I want to be in the midwest and I've heard Mayo, Iowa, and Michigan are the best. Is this true or can you add other names? I've also heard that Mayo does all their surg. path with frozens. Is this a problem or a minor difference that should not deter me from their program? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

In keeping with the path in the midwest query, what about Northwestern? Or U of Chicago? Thoughts, anyone?
