PA-Surgical Needed

We are looking for a Physician Assistant to work in the Vascular Surgery department. It is located in the Silicon Valley in California. This is a permanent, full-time, first shift position. Responsibilities include:

- performing diagnostic evaluation, including the ordering of various scans and tests
- performing cardiovascular procedures, including but not limited to chest tube placement and removal, assorted catheter placement and removal, and aspirations
- preparing patients for surgery
- acting as first assist for vascular and cardiothoracic surgery
- performing post-operative care and evaluating patients

Requirements:
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant in the State of California
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association
- 3-5 years experience as a Physician Assistant within Cardiovascular or Emergency Room
- Must have acted in the first assist role
