You guys have some suggestions on out of state schools that people have a chance at getting into to?

Most state schools look for superior grades/MCAT for out-of-staters. That said, one or two, like SUNY Upstate, give no preference whatsoever to state applicants and out-of-staters can claim instate tuition after year 1.

If you have a 33+ MCAT and can tell a convincing story as to why you might want to remain in SC, then University of South Carolina School of Medicine is likely to take you. They have been much more lenient on OOSers in the last few years.
