Hey just wanted to get some light shed on how competitive Ortho is for some of the programs REALLY are. I know most people have ridiculous credentials but I know there are some people with 240s and little research who are just cool cats . So if there are any of the orthopods out there that matched in cali or any program that people like to brag about would you mind sharing your info like scores, aoa?, research, pubs, LOR's. Hey just wanted to get some light shed on how competitive Ortho is for some of the programs REALLY are.

You can match ortho with average board scores IF the rest of your application is better than the average 245-guy's application. This being said, your 217 Step 1 score will get your app sent to the circular file at most programs if you aren't AOA.
