I'm a third year Navy HPSP dental student who recently became interested in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. Since the Navy only offers limited spots, is taking a civilian residency and doing the Navy Active Duty Delay for Specialists (NADDS) Program likely? Also anyone have any insight to how competitive this relatively new specialty is and how early the application process for this begins? Thanks.

Pretty sure they only pick those who have served in the navy for a few years over people that are just graduating d school for that specialty, based on the past few DUINS results... Also I think NADDS is more for navy medical officers than dental officers.
