opting out of certain procedures in pre clinic

i currently work in a practice alongside OD students. i have gotten a corneal abrasion both times that i let the student practice goldman on me. I am extremely anxious about letting a student practice gonio on me. is this common? should i just suck it up and just deal with the abrasions each time or request to be excused from acting as the patient for these procedures, due to sensitive corneas?
