might be a bit early, but figured it's almost that time. best of luck to everyone!
Ok that is good to know! Thanks!haha im sure many of us know your pain. you can still submit your PASS app even if not all the rec letters are in yet. they will just be added once your evaluator completes it.
I feel your pain!no interview for case . 200 dollars gone
6 year (you can choose to be considered for the 4 year as well)Was emory for both 4 and 6 year?
Dude, hope you get an interview with that sick CBSE score !Oh...
Is 4 year more competitive than 6 year?6 year (you can choose to be considered for the 4 year as well)
Is 4 year more competitive than 6 year?
I think so, I think there are more applicants and less seats for the 4 yr programIs 4 year more competitive than 6 year?
I'm 0 for 5 right now. I got rejected from michigan, case, emory, Knoxville and vcu. I only applied to 20 programs.
I am ranked 2 out of 70 and got a 75 on my cbse as well as 6 weeks of externships. I go to a west coast school where not many students specialize. People I talked to said that I would have no problems getting interviews.
I'm starting to get pretty paranoid. Does this still seem pretty normal/plausible or is it likely that i have a red flag in my app? I should've applied to more schools. Pretty depressing since all I can think of is what more could I possibly have done for them to even consider giving me an interview.
This doesn't make any sense man !! Number wise your application is spot on. Maybe it's your LORs? Did you extern at any of the programs you mentioned?I'm 0 for 5 right now. I got rejected from michigan, case, emory, Knoxville and vcu. I only applied to 20 programs.

Did VCU sent out rejection letters, or did you not get an email at all? That's really weird that you haven't gotten any interviews with those stats.

Just really curious. Who are these people that you have talked to? And, what was your GPA?
Yea I got the rejection email yesterday. The first rejection hurts the most.Did VCU sent out rejection letters, or did you not get an email at all? That's really weird that you haven't gotten any interviews with those stats.
I just didn't get an e-mail. Emory sent out a rejection e-mail.
Anyways, sorry for derailing the thread. You know how it is... checking SDN every 30 minutes even though most invites don't even come out until October. Hopefully I've just started out with some bad luck. Rushing to add some more programs that are at the Oct 3 and 15 deadline though lol.

You got a rejection e-mail? I didn't get one yet... Does that mean they do rolling invites or maybe they didn't even review my app lol. I did send the 2x2 photo they requested but they never confirmed that my pass application was submitted.
btw, if I get matched, I am definitely taking a trip to japan for some sushi at jiro's. maybe his son's place though lol.

Is there any advise to give a good impression as an extern? Thank you for your input! As another aside - I have the unique experience of seeing externs on the other side of the fence now. It really is funny what will rub one person the wrong way and totally not bother someone else. Take home point - do not take it personally if you do not interview somewhere you externed. Its more like the roll of a dice than anything.
Not trying to be rude at all but this thread is for interviews so this is a little out of topic. I would suggest searching for existing threads, starting a new one or sending direct messages to people who have externed. I think you will get a lot more feedback that way! Good luck!Is there any advise to give a good impression as an extern? Thank you for your input!
