Hey everyone,
I would like to inform you of a new resource for neurology residents called:
NeuroBound
http://neurobound.googlepages.com
Its aim is to serve as complete information resource for neuro residents, as well as medical students interested in neurology. Currently, I have only developed a basic framework for the site and will be adding lots more content.
I would like to have your input regarding what type of information you think would be useful for such a resident portal. I am currenlty a medicine prelim intern and will be starting neurology residency next year. I created this site due to my own difficult experience of gathering information online when learning more about neurology as a field and possible career during med school. The content I came across online, though useful, was scattered at numerous sites and made it tough to interpret. Also, I could not always judge its accuracy very well in the context of the source.
NeuroBound will attempt to remedy the pitfalls by collecting accurate, up-to-date information from highly reputed sources by enlisting the insight of neurologists and subspecialists in academia, industry, and private practice. This will convey to current and future neurology residents clear-cut information for further exploring the field of neurology.
There is also a NeuroBound blog at:
http://neurobound.blogspot.com
Please use the blog to make comments about the site, ask questions on all things neurology, and make contacts with other residents to learn about their experience in the field early on.
If you have genuine interest in furhter promoting neurology and increasing awareness about the field, I would be delighted to have you on the NeuroBound team for contributions to the site, any section you may be interested in.
You can contact me at: [email protected].
Thank you.
