I am a non-traditional incoming M1 and have recently filled out my FAFSA (just got off the waitlist last week). My EFC (expected family contrib.) turned out to be $19,500 because I have worked the last three years and earned $60K last year.
There is no way I can afford this unless I get school or bank loans. (I don't know how much the school will give me, but I don't want to wait until the last minute only to find that the loan isn't enough.) I apologize if this has been addressed before (if it has could someone please provide a link). I am going to see the school's financial aid counselor tomorrow morning.
Anyone in or has been in this situation? Thank you in advance.
