Is UChicago integrated or independent? Their website talks about some 4 year pre plastic training program or something, where applicants can apply to both the third year match or something as well as getting preference at UChicago. What's the scoop?

Chicago is, to my knowledge, technically an "independent coordinated." This means that you match out of med school, but that during your gen-surg years, you are liable to the rules and regulations of the Gen Surg dept and RRC. They may have a separate SF match spot (much like the way UC-Davis does it), but I wouldn't know about it.
