Don't know if any 5th years or fellows are out there, but I'm involved in a growing project that provides orthopedic surgical treatment for children in a former Soviet state. In clinic, we see a few hundred kids over the course of a 7-10 day trip, and provide as much surgical care as we can. Up to now, it has been mostly clubfoot, clubfoot revision, and CP patients, but there is more in the works. This is a great opportunity but you will have to secure your own funding at present. Several people have managed to get funding through their hospitals, but some have paid their own way. Next trip is May 5, 2006. If you might be interested, send me a pm and I can fill in more details.
