Has anyone done the process of obtaining a military ID Card. I sent an email to the office (Can't remember what the abbreviation was) that my recruiter told me to. I still have yet to get a response back and it has been four days already.

I can tell you right now that you will not get a response back. The office you called was most likely PSD. They will not call you back. If you want your ID card. You need to go there and pester the hell out of them. Get your recruiter to escort you on base.

You can call the local base badging office and have them check if you are in DEERS. If you are in there you can take you oath of office and two ID's to get your ID. If you live near any military base regardless of branch of service you can call and and they can leave your name at the Visitors Office.

If you need PM me I'll give the RAPIDS site locator web site where you can find an ID card office by zip code.

I went last week to obtain my Navy ID card from a nearby Air Force base. I wasn't sure what to expect but took my commissioning documents and had 2 forms of ID as the above poster said. I also had my birth certificate just in case, which they needed because my DOB wasn't in the system. But the ID got issued without a hassle. I went to the visitor's center first to obtain a pass to get through the guard gate, then just asked people where to go once on base.
