I'm writing up an article using Microsoft Word 2007. The citation style can be changed. I want to use ISO690 with numerical references. Is there a way to make all the numerical references superscript?

Why do you think you're doing it and not your PI?

Have you thought about using EndNote? It incorporates easily into MS Word and keeps your references well organized for future use. Made it really easy for me to reformat my bibliography for the next journal after it got repeatedly rejected.
