TANZANIA-DSM / Mwanza to open 1 Jan 2009
24/7 - 30 High Class beds including 3 ICU beds and 2 NEONATAL ICU Incubators. One major and one minor Theatre, 2 Delivery Rooms, one of which will be a WATER DELIVERY room.

SUDAN- Juba / Khartoum (still require medical staff) to open April 2009,
DRC- Lubumbashi (still require medical staff) 2 x Qualified experienced Dentists with cosmetic dentistry experience - to open April 2009

NEW Trauma Centers still to open in months to come: MOZAMBIQUE- Maputo , UGANDA- Kampala, EGYPT- Cairo/ Alexandria, ZAMBIA- Lusaka, Algiers.

DaresSalaam Trauma Center is on the coast of Tanzania; 20 min from Zanzibar is currently under construction, should be operational 1 January 2009. Trauma Centre Dsm & Well Woman Clinic, Dar es Salaam Plot 589 Msasani Peninsular, Masaki Area, Dar es Salaam.
It is a 30 Beds; 2 x Theatres; 3 bed ICU; Pharmacy; Vaccination centre; Occupational Health; Radiology with CT; Casualty; maternity; Woman’s wellness centre with Mammography/Ultra sound/Bone Density etc.

We now have MD’s for DAR Tanzania, still require for other Trauma Centers.
Doctors should be able to adequately Resuscitate patients, able to Suture wounds, Reduce fractures, Operate for Minor surgical cases, Deliver babies, Caesarian section etc.

Still required for DAR Tanzania and other Trauma Centers.
Experienced Registered Nurses, Obstetric Nurses/Midwives – would be good if you have experience with water births, Theatre Nurses, ICU Nurses, Casualty Nurses.

Experienced Radiographers should be able to operate Digital Radiology equipment which includes CT Scanner, X-ray, Mobile X-ray and 3D Colour Ultra Sound machines, Digital Mammogram unit, DEXXA machine. The DIGITAL facility will enable the unit to Email images anywhere in the World for Opinions or to send to the patients preferred Physician.

We would consider medical residents however air tickets would be for your cost and part accommodation – to be discussed on merit. We however would require a 2 year commitment.

Before we can proceed with your application we require the following:
N.B. Applications for DAR Tanzania no later than 15 October 2008

Must be proficient in the English language
Full CV in word format with photo
Certified copies of certificates/registrations
Reference letters and Letter of good standing with your medical professional council
Police clearance certificate – can send later as we are aware this takes some time
International Driver’s license
Valid passport

Salary will be paid in US$ dependant on qualifications and experience.

Package includes:
Paid flight to destination and one return economy class flight back home p/annum
Furnished accommodation, some single some sharing
Hospital canteen meals and a staff minibus provided
Personal Accident, Emergency Medical Expenses including Repatriation
Life and Personal Effects insurance for the period of the contract.
Annual Leave: Leave will accrue at 2 days per calendar month
Hours of Work: The hours of work shall be 0800 a.m. to 1700p.m or a total number of 48 hours per week. Rotational shift work and weekends off on call.
Contract will be for 2 years with option to renew.
