Hi,
I was just wondering for Australian grads (or other international medical graduates) applying for residency in the US how much emphasis is placed on your med school grades by the program directors?
In other words, what's more important for an US citizen who graduates from Australia or Ireland, a high USMLE score or good med school transcript?
Also, what is the order of importance (in terms of matching) of the following required documents when applying for residency: (please rank)
-med school grades
-USMLE score
-dean's letter
-US letters of recommendation
-US clinical experience
(I know that there's no right answer to the questions above but I was hoping that anyone who has had experience of the process could give me their informaed opinion about what they thought was most important in their application process)
