My GCE A level results came back today- AAAAB, B in Chemistry. Do Australian med scohols pay particular attention to grades in chemistry? I applied to UNSW, Wsyd, UQ.. etc... Should I assume there'll be no interviews or any offer? I haven't received my UMAT results yet ... what do you think?

Should be alright...just wait and see what offers you get...but if you are applying as an international student, the question is not whether the faculty accepts a B grade, but rather...you should be more concerned about the chemistry grades of the other applicants....as there is devastating competition from intl students to study med in Aus...albeit many spots as compared to 5-10 at UK unis/year...i'm an international 4th yr med at UNSW BTW...

All the best!
