I'm back here after many years... These forums were super helpful during my training.
I just don't know where else to ask more or less anonymously.
Question for attending general surgeons that have either first hand or really trustworthy second hand knowledge of general surgery locums pay. Excluding trauma in house call.
What the he'll is good pay? I feel like the locums companies. And there are many. Try to constantly low ball me.
Please only answer if you know.
Highest I personally have seen is 1200 for call and 175 for callback hours. First two hours free.
Highest my friends have been offered seems to be around that. But they were less desperate and negotiated successfully for zero free hours.
I'm a bit desperate and have taken 1000/150 with 3 free hours.
Fellowship in mis/Bari. Practice 4 years.
Any help would be appreciated. You can pm me if u don't want to post publicly. Might be collusion, lol.
