I went to a school where we were never taught how to use rotary, only hand filing. I am currently working at a practice and they have the ProTaper system. I enjoy doing endo and there are cases I would like to work on. For those who have been in a situation where they were only taught hand filing, how did you learn the ProTaper system? Any recommendations?

You can always watch a YouTube video or read the catalog.

Call your local Dentsply rep and have them come out and teach you the system.

I would recommend calling the rep but honestly, the new rotary files is very easy. You can practice on some extracted teeth while following YouTube instructional videos. You basically follow the steps to clean and shape. After that you just obturate.
