As the title states is it possible? Also if you realize you want to specialize in service during your credentialing tour is it possible to apply for a specialty program and enroll the following year? Or is it better to enroll in PGY-1 first? In either cases what are my chances?

Thanks

well i can say for the sake of the Army and even the civilian world... doing a 1 year aegd/gpr definitely helps if you're applying to a specialty

also, even when i remember talking to navy dentists...if you do the 1 year it's right out of school only. if you wanna do an aegd afterwards it has to be the 2 year. don't know if that has changed though
