Is it inappropriate to email my interviewers from a school I got WL at last cycle?

I applied last cycle and had one interview which went really well. However, I got WL since they had no more spots They told me I was v-high-priority WL and they would have taken me if they had a seat to give me. OK great, who cares, but point being it went really well.

I'm a reapplicant now. I applied day 1, got my secondary for this school yesterday and submitted today. Would it be inappropriate to send an email to the people who interviewed me last cycle? They were one-on-one interviewers and I feel like I made great connections with both of them. I'm positive they would remember me since we emailed back and forth multiple times as the cycle wound down about my WL situation in May. However, I don't want to overstep. Advice appreciated.
