Is Endo really hurting?

I have heard people say that as GPs have started doing more endo, that endodontists are hurting. As a broad generalization does anyone have an idea about how significantly this is actually impacting the average endodontist?

Realistically, how much does a typical endodontist take home?

A solo endodontist (in the New England area) who owns his/her own practice earns ~400k/yr (net income).

My info comes from Rosen and Associates, LLP, a dental accounting firm.
