Internal Med: How many LORs?

How many LORs are most people submittin for internal medicine, or how many are we allowed to??

Our school has one departmental letter, and they say 2 other letters u request to make it a grand total of 3 LORs... Is it bad to submit a 4th if we had one? Or is it better to have an extra?

Anyone with any thoughts/input, I'd appreciate it!

1 dept./chairman letter + 1-2 IM letters + 1-2 non IM letters. Obviously go for two IM letters if possible. There's typically no harm in including a 4th, but make sure it's a good one

Its not "bad" to submit a 4th letter, but bear in mind that some programs will only download the number they specify.
