I came across this article today on the BBC

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/7767406.stm

I know it's VERY early, but can this type of technology do to orthopods what stents, etc. did to CT surgeons? I could potentially see rheumatologists or sports medicine fp's administering these therapies.

Bone graft of various sorts are continued to be used in many orthopedic procedures, and several harden when used in the body...Norian, etc from my recollection. Just b/c you can "squirt" this in there, and it hardens doesn't take away the need for proper reduction and fixation via AO techniques. All this does is facilitate the healing that the orthopod puts into position, etc.
