We had a community account created in the Radiation Oncology forum called "Impressions" specifically for the purpose of posting interview impressions. Unfortunately, a few users have taken it upon themselves to use the "Impressions" account for non-related posts in this forum and others. For this reason, the "Impressions" account has been permanently disabled.
One of the strengths of SDN is that each username is from an individual with a distinct personality and style. We have many regular contributors to this forum such as SimulD, medgator, clintpark, G'ville Nole, radonc, IndyXRT, napoleandynamite, etc. When people know who is posting (applicant, resident, attending) they gain some appreciation for the post's content and how to respond appropriately. The "Impressions" account goes against this sense of collegiality. Multiple users wrote posts while signed under "Impressions" sometimes in the same thread which was highly confusing. The recent attempt by an "Impressions" user to create an online poll further illustrates the absurdity of this whole situation as many different users with distinct usernames are required to give the poll any credibility.
Therefore, I would strongly encourage any of you to create your own username and post your thoughts, comments, or questions.
Thanks for your understanding.
