To my OB-GYN colleagues,
Has anyone ever seen a transvaginal hysterectomy on someone that has had either an abdominoperineal resection or a total proctocolectomy (assume the indication is severe endometriosis)? Is it even technically feasable?
If you have seen an open procedure, did you approach it through a lower midline incision? What was the dissection/ anatomy like in a person that does not have a rectum?
Odd question, I know, but I'd appreciate any insight.
